San Luis Obispo No Kings Information (Saturday, Oct. 18)

More than 5,000 of our fellow citizens attended the June 14 No Kings Rally in downtown San Luis Obispo. With a larger attendance expected Saturday, Oct. 18 - and with the core principle behind all No Kings events being a commitment to nonviolent action - we want this rally to be as safe, peaceful and enjoyable as previous events. Please help us demonstrate that San Luis Obispo County citizens will not stand for the stealing of power from voters.

No thrones! No crowns! No kings! This is our country, and we are its guardians.

Below is information to know before you go!

WHEN: Sat., October 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

WHERE: 1000 Monterey Street (Near San Luis Obispo Courthouse and the intersection of Monterey and Osos Streets), San Luis Obispo.

NEW AND IMPROVED! This peaceful rally will feature inspiring speakers, live music, and a DJ as we stand for democracy! We’ve upgraded our sound system for our speakers, improved visibility for attendees and, with increased attendance, extra post-potties.

GETTING THERE: Attendees are encouraged to carpool, ride share, bike or support public transit.

PARKING: There is plenty of street and paid parking across the downtown district. Check out the SLO Parking Map: https://tinyurl.com/FindSLOparking

PLEASE BRING: Signs, fllgs and water bottles (water stations will be throughout the event).

DO NOT BRING: Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events.
