In Memphis, residents are organizing for environmental justice, challenging the impacts of Elon Musk's xAI data center, and fighting for a voice in decisions affecting their neighborhoods. Their efforts have reached city government, the courts, and national headlines.

On November 12, join us for our next Fostering Understanding in Our Community event to learn what Memphis residents are doing, the challenges they're facing, and what their experiences can teach us here on the Central Coast.

We'll welcome filmmaker Justice A. Whitaker for a screening of his short documentary How Memphis is Fighting for Environmental Justice in the Era of xAI, followed by a community conversation and a special virtual message from Tennessee State Representative Justin J. Pearson, a leading voice in the movement.

Who decides? Who benefits? Who bears the cost? And what power do we have to shape those decisions?
